Finding Meaning In Your Life

Why Synchronicity?

Synchronicity is defined as a "meaningful coincidence". A synchronistic experience in my life made me realize the importance in pausing and paying attention to the meaning behind our experiences.

Synchronicity was introduced by psychiatrist Carl Jung. ‘Synchronicity,' said Jung, ‘is the coming together of inner and outer events in a way that cannot be explained by cause and effect and that is meaningful to the observer.'

Sometimes coincidences require a little thought and reflection before the meaning becomes clear, perhaps that is why they appear in our lives. They grab our attention and we can choose to ignore them or curiously explore their purpose.

Synchronicity can not only teach us, but comfort us, providing reassurance of feelings or ideas we felt to be true, or pointing us in the direction we need to go, when we may not have been sure of the way. Perhaps that's what brought you here today.
